Kim Kardashian and North West were set to attend the 2025 Met Gala together, with North being Kim’s date amid her custody battle with ex-beau Kanye West.

The mother-daughter duo posted four TikTok reels featuring their Met Gala looks before the event. Ultimately, only one of them walked the Met Gala red carpet.

The 11-year-old wore a matching cowhide jacket and shorts with black Nike socks and luxury Rick Owens footwear.

Kim, 44, dazzled in a black leather Chrome Hearts dress and fedora, chosen by Jahleel Weaver. Her look was finished with silver necklaces and turquoise earrings, while North's blue braids added a colourful touch.

In 2018, the Met Gala chairperson, Anna Wintour, created a rule that attendees aged 18 or above could only witness the event.

In contrast, back in 2011, Met Gala, Elle Fanning attended the event at the age of 13, along with her sister Dakota Fanning, 17, as VIP guests of Valentino.
