Prince Harry blasted by ex-friend Ben Goldsmith with ties to Princess Diana

Prince Harry is facing fresh backlash, this time from someone who once called him a friend.

Ben Goldsmith, a financier and environmentalist whose family has long-standing ties to the royals, took to social media to blast the Duke of Sussex following his emotional interview with the BBC last week.

The 44-year-old, whose sister was close to Princess Diana, didn’t hold back: “Tragic, but true, Prince Harry’s behaviour is unforgivable,” he wrote on X on May 3.

Goldsmith is the first known former friend of Harry’s to publicly condemn him since the Duke began his wave of bombshell revelations.

In his latest BBC interview, Prince Harry said he hoped for reconciliation with his father King Charles, but admitted the monarch “won’t speak” to him.

He also addressed the loss of his security privileges in the UK, a key issue that’s kept him from bringing Meghan Markle and their kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, back to his homeland.

Harry recently lost a legal appeal to reinstate taxpayer-funded police protection while visiting the UK.

Courts ruled that his downgraded security status was justified after he stepped down from royal duties in 2020.

A Buckingham Palace spokesperson responded: “All these issues have been examined repeatedly and meticulously by the courts, with the same conclusion on each occasion.”
