American singer and songwriter Katy Perry debuted her new C3P0-inspired Lifetimes Tour costume on Saturday, after receiving harsh criticism for being a glorified space tourist during Blue Origin's New Shepard NS-31 mission.
The 40-year-old enlisted three-time Emmy-winning costume designer Zaldy to create her cyborg suit, which featured a flesh-coloured fishnet layer beneath the sci-fi ensemble to maintain modesty.
In the detailed design, featuring metallic looking hinged panels and wiring on the arms, bust, panties, and legs. The pop star showcased her noticeably slimmed down 5’8 frame.
Makeup artist Alexandra French expertly contoured the singer’s face, while hairstylist Andrew Ly crafted tinsel-filled, Anora inspired wig.
The Dark Horse vocalist, who has over 200 million followers on Instagram, wrote, “Introducing KP143,” as the caption for her X video.
Katy's initials and the number 143, which is the title of her poorly received seventh studio album that included the tone-deaf feminist anthem Woman's World, were used to create the moniker.
Katy Perry has previously went on to say that "I'm really into extraterrestrial stuff. I find it really hard to look up at the sky in the middle of the night and not consider our planet to be one of a gazillion."
