Blake Lively’s presence on TIME’s Most Influential People list sparked a sharp reaction from Megyn Kelly during Thursday night’s TIME100 gala in New York City.

Ryan Reynolds, 48, attended the event alongside his wife, though he was not included on the guest list.

Kelly spoke passionately about Lively's ongoing lawsuit against Justin Baldoni during a red-carpet interview with Daily Mail.

The conservative journalist said the star, who drew criticism for her TIME100 cover, “shouldn’t be here.”

The red carpet spat unfolded amid a new lawsuit in the ongoing dispute between the 37-year-old and Baldoni.

In the filing, the director's production company and his publicist, Jennifer Abel, accused his former publicist, Stephanie Jones, of conspiring with Lively to hide attempts to leak Abel’s private text messages.

At the gala, the 54-year-old intensified her criticism of the Gossip Girl star, accusing her of “bastardising Me Too allegations,” after she sued her co-star and director for sexual harassment.

The actress wore a pink taffeta, off-the-shoulder gown with a corseted bodice. Her hair was styled in a sophisticated updo, while her makeup looked natural. She completed the look with green emerald earrings with multiple rings.
