Shohei Ohtani shares news of his baby's arrival with wife Mamiko Tanaka

Shohei Ohtani and the Japanese former basketball player welcomed their adorable little bundle of joy.
On Saturday, April 19, the Los Angeles Dodgers player revealed the birth of his first child, a baby girl, with 28-year-old Tanaka.
In an Instagram post alongside an image of baby feet and a cute pet, the 30-year-old wrote, "Welcome to the Ohtani Family! I am so grateful to my loving wife, who gave birth to our healthy, beautiful daughter.”
“To my daughter, thank you for making us very nervous yet super anxious parents. I would also like to thank the Dodgers organization, my teammates, and the fans for their constant support and kind words of encouragement,” the new father added.
The athlete further said, “I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to all the medical professionals and everyone who dedicated their support to us, up until this wonderful day.”
As per MLB.com, the Dodgers' star Ohtani missed the game against the Rangers after becoming a new dad, and he's been added to the paternity list.
Ohtani, who is known for keeping his private life out of the spotlight, confirmed his marriage to Tanaka on February 27, 2024.
