Wendy’s breaks silence after poking fun at Katy Perry
American singer Katy Perry gets trolled by fast food chain Wendy’s
Katy Perry, who recently took a 10-minute ride to the space on Blue Origin’s mission, became a target of a direct jab made by Wendy’s.
The fast-food chain has retreated from their previous statement that they made when the Firework singer wrote on X (formerly Twitter) by writing: “Can we send her back.”
The company stepped back while talking to People on Thursday: “We always bring a little spice to our socials.”
In a follow-up post, the franchise shared a picture of the pop singer kissing the ground after landing safely in Texas with a caption: “I kissed the ground and I liked it,” referencing her hit song I Kissed a Girl.
Wendy’s insisted that they have “a ton of respect” for the 40-year-old songstress and appreciated her “out-of-this-world talent.”
Although the “Queen of Camp” did not respond to the banter, the musician felt upset by the hostility.
This came after Jeff Bezos jetted off his fiancée Lauren Sanchez along with other all-female crew, including Gayle King, Katy, NASA aerospace engineer Aisha Bowe, Amanda Nguyen and Kerianne Flynn, on Blue Origin’s NS-31.
Although the human flight was seen as a huge accomplishment, it received backlash for having severe impacts on the environment and privatizing space travel.

Katy Perry was married to Russell Brand, who has been charged with rape and assault, from 2010 till 2012. Brand later explained that their relationship ended because of “normal human reasons marriages don’t work.”
The E.T hitmaker is currently unmarried as she and her beau Orlando Bloom have yet to finalise a date for their wedding.
