Meghan Markle’s latest podcast venture, Confessions of a Female Founder, may be grabbing headlines but behind the scenes, it seems the Duchess of Sussex is facing some serious snubs.

According to royal commentator Kinsey Schofield, speaking on the Andrew Gold & Kinsey Schofield YouTube show, Reese Witherspoon allegedly declined Meghan’s invite to appear on the podcast and the reason might sting.

“I heard rumours that Meghan was trying to get Reese Witherspoon on Archetypes,” Schofield claimed. “Reese politely declined… because she loves Catherine [Princess Kate] and didn’t want to do anything to jeopardize that.”

Witherspoon’s admiration for the Princess of Wales is no secret. In her 2018 book Whiskey in a Teacup, the Morning Show actor gushed about meeting Kate during her first royal tour of the US in 2011.

“I was up at 4am doing my hair… up, dressed and waiting by the door by 7am,” Witherspoon wrote. “Jim took pictures of me in the car. You can see rays of happiness shooting out of my face. I love Kate Middleton that much.”

She described Kate as “lovely,” “elegant,” and “just as magnificent as she seems to be.”

What is Meghan Markle's new podcast about?

Meghan Markle's new podcast focuses on thought-provoking conversations, social issues, and personal storytelling—similar to her previous podcast Archetypes, which explored gender stereotypes and how they shape women's lives.

The new show is likely to align with Lemonada Media’s focus on socially conscious and narrative-driven content. Given Meghan’s previous interests, it includes discussions about women’s empowerment, mental health, and media representation.
