Prince Louis joins George, Charlotte in major school tradition as he turns seven

Prince Louis is just days away from a royal birthday, and with it, a new adventure at school.

The youngest child of the Prince and Princess of Wales will celebrate his seventh birthday on April 23. The milestone comes shortly after Louis was spotted attending the annual Easter Sunday service at St George’s Chapel alongside his parents, siblings Prince George and Princess Charlotte, and senior royals including King Charles and Queen Camilla.

But now that Louis is turning seven, he will be eligible to participate in one of Lambrook School’s most anticipated privileges, which is boarding.

Lambrook, the prestigious prep school in Berkshire where all three Wales children are enrolled, offers weekly and flexi-boarding options to pupils aged seven to thirteen.

According to the school’s website, about 75 percent of students take part in some form of boarding, whether for the full week, on flexible terms, or occasionally.

And while it's unknown if George or Charlotte have spent nights away from Adelaide Cottage, Louis now has the chance to join in on the fun.

The school describes boarding life as a “home from home family environment” where students “eat, work and relax together.”
