The singer, who had a religious upbringing, believes Faith Won't Fail since she said she is always on the look out for signs from the universe that let her know she is on the right path, and she has received a couple before she departs from earth.
Katy told fans It Takes Two in a post on Sunday, April 13, penning down in her caption, “Love, Feather/Tortoise,” before explaining what it meant.
“You know that I'm always looking for little confirmations from the heavens, from my guides, from the angels, from my higher self,” the Billboard Music award winner began.
The 40-year-old then disclosed, “So when I was invited to come on this voyage, I looked up at the capsule, and the capsule, on the very front of it, is the outline in the shape of a feather.”
“And when I saw that it was like a total confirmation, because my mom has always called me Feather,” she continued.
Katy then clarified the other sign, “Tortoise” with “There's a lot to digest and we're almost finished for the day and they show us the capsule, we've run simulations in a different capsule and they reveal the name of the capsule and the capsule's name is Tortoise.”
The American Idol judge disclosed, “'My mom calls me two nicknames: Feather and Tortoise. What are the chances that I'm going to space on a rocket in a capsule with my symbol the feather called Tortoise?”
Katy ended the video by bluntly mentioning that these things are “no coincidences” and are simply “confirmations” that she is thankful for.
Katy Perry will be joined by Gayle King are two of the six women that will briefly reach the edge of space on April 14.
