Prince Harry’s brief return to London this week for a legal hearing has reignited debate over whether the Duke of Sussex should be welcomed back to the UK — and a new poll suggests the public has made up its mind.

According to a recent survey conducted by Express.co.uk, an overwhelming 92 percent of respondents said no, Prince Harry should not be welcomed back to the UK.

Out of nearly 3,200 voters, only 218 people, roughly seven percent — said he should be allowed to return with open arms, while just one percent remained undecided.

While Prince Harry has expressed appreciation for his new life in the United States — raising his children Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three, away from the intense scrutiny of the British press — some royal commentators have floated the possibility of reconciliation.

This latest poll suggests public opinion remains firmly divided from Harry.

Why was Prince Harry back in the UK?

The poll was launched after Harry, 40, was spotted in London on Tuesday and Wednesday attending his Court of Appeal hearing for a 2023 High Court decision that ruled against him receiving full police protection while visiting the UK.

At the heart of the case is Ravec—the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures—which downgraded his security following his and Meghan Markle’s 2020 exit from senior royal duties.
