Mariah Carey irritates son by sharing the limelight

Mariah Carey’s son, Moroccan, did not want her to steal the spotlight from him with her surprise appearance and sometimes, It’s Like That.

The All I want For Christmas star delighted fans when she made an unexpected appearance on Moroccan’s livestream on April 3.

The 13-year-old had been streaming his role-playing video game Fantasy for approximately 10 minutes before the mother of two barged into his room, holding their family dog.

Mariah was accompanied by Moroccan’s twin sister Monroe, whose intrusion prompted the teenager to inform his viewers, "Sorry chat, my mom is here."

Moroccan’s audience quickly flooded the comments with remarks like "Hi, Mrs. Carey!” clearly gushing over the pop icon, as she waked into frame.

"Mom, they can see you. They're saying, 'Hi Mariah, I love you!' Oh my God,” Moroccan (nicknamed “Rocky” by Mariah and dad, Nick Cannon) told the 56-year-old, visibly embarrassed as he pressed his palm to his face.

Mariah sweetly responded to the excited netizens, "Hi, you guys! I love you too."

After the brief interaction, Moroccan decided that he did not want to be overshadowed by his mother and requested her to leave, saying, "Can y'all please get out, please? Love you. Get out of my room!"

Notably, Mariah Carey and Nick Canon welcomed their twins in 2011, and co-parent the teens after they finalized their divorce in 2016.
