Seems like the long-running feud isn’t over yet.
Drake released the music video for his hit single NOKIA on Monday. The track originally came out back in February as part of the rapper’s collaborative album with PartyNextDoor, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U.
Drizzy fans have been going wild over the video with some scrutinising every frame to find hidden meanings.
Podcaster DJ Akademiks, who stood by Drake during his beef with Kendrick Lamar, claims that the 38-year-old did subtly take a swipe at K-Dot in the video.
Akademiks highlighted the part where Drake is among a bunch of dancers and dancing like Lamar did in Not Like Us.
Akademiks also posted a still where the Snake mobile game is being played behind Drake and wrote that the singer is “surrounded by snakes.”
The apparent trolling is unexpected given that many fans believed Drake had moved past his highly publicised rivalry with Lamar.
This conclusion was drawn because in the song GIMME A HUG, Drake rapped, “F*** a rap beef, I'm tryna get the party.”
Many fans interpreted the lyrics as a declaration by Drake that he was done with his feud with Lamar.
