Sabrina Carpenter is on the brink of breaking a record held by her popstar friend Taylor Swift.
The singer’s new album Short n’ Sweet has been making waves ever since it was released back in August of 2024, with now containing four chart topping hits, marking an impressive and noteworthy win for the 25-year-old singer.
Her song Bed Chem has joined Taste, Please Please Please and Espresso as the number 1 song on the radio on March 20, bringing Sabrina’s top songs total only one away from Taylor.
This feat of the Girl Meets World actress has ended the decade long break of an album garnering at least four Pop Airplay No. 1s, after the Speak Now singer did it back in 2014.
Taylor’s commercially successful album, 1989, titled after her birth year, had produced 5 songs that reigned on top for the Billboard Chart, with her most played tracks being Style, Blank Space, Wildest Dreams, Shake It Off and Bad Blood.
For the unversed, Pop Airplay tracks a vast amount of radio stations from the United States to determine the most played song, which serves as a good indicator of the hit’s current popularity.
