Meghan Markle has been praised for turning online hate into success as her Netflix series With Love, Meghan continues to thrive.
The Duchess of Sussex, 43, released the eight-episode cooking show earlier this month, sparking a wave of mixed reactions—but despite harsh criticism, the series has already been renewed for a second season.
According to royal commentator Dr. Tessa Dunlop, Meghan has mastered the art of using negativity to her advantage. Speaking to GB News, she said: "How the world has loved to hate on Meghan for her serialised version of perfection—With Love, Meghan", Dunlop said.
"But there is something deliciously ironic about the fact that Meghan has devised a creative strategy that weaponises all those haters and turns their clicks into profits. Well done her."
Dunlop also told The Mirror: "Despite (or perhaps because of) the dismal reviews and universal loathing, With Love, Meghan sits proudly in Netflix’s global top 10. Meghan’s media triumph will be a bitter pill for some to swallow—especially in Britain."
As per Netflix, Meghan’s new show features her "reimagining the genre of lifestyle programming” along with her celebrity friends as they roll “up their sleeves in the kitchen, the garden, and beyond, and invite you to do the same”.
The series is part of Meghan and Prince Harry’s multi-year deal with Netflix, which they signed in 2020. The eight-part lifestyle series will mark Meghan’s return to her roots, featuring hosting and entertaining tips while welcoming celebrity friends on the show.
