Kim Kardashian mocked for her ‘toilet paper’ dress

Kim Kardashian is known for her over-the-top outfit choices and bold fashion statements that stay centre of attention for days. However, this time it was her toned-down look that became the main focus.

The Skims founder made an appearance at the 2025 Vanity Fair Oscar Party hosted by Radhika Jones. The 44-year-old attended the event in a white strapless floor-length gown by Balenciaga, with minimal makeup and no jewellery.

The dress immediately became the rage for its different style and texture. On the front, the dress had a voluminous gown look while on the back it had a more fitted look. It was contemplated to be a bridal gown however, not everyone reviewed it positively.

The texture of the dress gave it a crimpy appearance. One commentator compared it to bed sheets saying “'Like the fitted sheet no one can fold.”

Another social media user called it a toiler paper dress, “Toilet paper and a terrible tan”.

It has been famously believed that Kim's style has massively changed after divorcing ex-husband Kanye West.
