‘Boys Meets World’ cast get into heated fight on podcast

Maitland Ward, who was in seasons 6 and 7 of Boy Meets World, appeared as a guest on the podcast, Pod Meets World where she clashed with the hosts, including Danielle Fishel.

Ward said she did not “hate” the host when asked directly if she harbored negative feelings towards her, however Fishel insisted, “I think that you hate me because you wouldn't speak to me on Girl Meets World and that was hurtful.”

The former, on the other hand, claimed that she felt the latter is “disingenuous” because of how she acted on the Girl Meets World set. “You had an attitude about it. There was some beef between us, and I didn’t get it. I didn’t know if you thought I was trying to steal attention.”

Fishel then apologized to her, admitting that, “It was a rather tumultuous place. I felt very ostracized. I felt very criticized. I felt a lot of different things being on that set.”

When cornered about her talking badly about them to the press, Ward asked, “Are you trying to accuse me of using you, or are you trying to accuse me of something?”

She also insisted that she found the podcast to be too negative, and that they spread hate about the series creator, Michael Jacobs.

Fishel defended the cast, saying, “The same way you wrote in your book [2024's My Escape from Hollywood] about your experiences doesn't mean that they're negative. They're just experiences ... So you don’t listen to the podcast regularly, but your overall opinion of it is that we are negative about Michael and Ben and the show?”

One of the other hosts also defended their discussions of the creator, adding, “If I’m talking about Michael yelling at me, that’s my experience. I was yelled at. I watched him do things. I can describe that, that’s the truth,”

However, the conversation did end up settling down, and there were discussions of her returning to the podcast one day.
