Jeff Dye, an American comedian and actor, sat down for an interview on The George Janko Show where he had some choice words to describe his former co-star Sarah Hyland.
Discussing their film together, The Wedding Year, he said, “In the time that I had to be on set, Sarah Hyland was the lead.”
Even though he admitted that he was only in the film for around “30 seconds”, he claimed that Hyland was “rude to everyone” and that she’s a “pretty woman who chain-smokes and is terrible.”
He described one incident where she complained to the director, Robert Luketic that the extras had been eating from the craft services table, “She was annoyed that some extras wanted some f****** free granola bars … like it was in her kitchen or something.”
Further adding that she did not like him, he revealed that she even told him, “You’re what is wrong with people.”
Citing his gender as being the reason for her dislike, he claimed that she was “not used to masculine energy of any sort.”
“They’re all in this hierarchy of Hollywood where it’s like, she’s No. 1 on the call sheet, [so] we have to, like, pander to her. If she’s mean to us, just let her be mean to us, and if she’s sad, pretend like it’s OK that she’s sad,” the comedian continued.
“She thinks she’s so important, and this is, like, the whole industry,” he concluded.
