Kickflip, a rookie group from JYP Entertainment held a live stream on YouTube which took a turn towards the end, much to the concern of their fans.

The members brought up their earlier attempt to do the choreography to the song Cheer Up by veteran girl group, Twice.

Explaining that they had no chance to prepare due to it being a guessing game, they apologized repeatedly and swore to do better in the future.

Fans of the group quickly took to social media to express their anger over the situation, with one user writing, “THIS is what they had to apologize for?????? they know this song is going on 9 YEARS old right??? they were literal children when it was released.”

Others criticized their agency for making them apologize over such an issue, while some wondered if it was some sort of marketing scheme for the new group.

“Yeah, it feels intentional to me. Because of the apology, this rookie group ended up going viral across online communities. If it wasn’t for marketing, there’s no reason for JYPE to make the members apologize. JYPE has been in the business far too long. They know what they’re doing,” commented a user.

Another added, “No… The members were actually getting hate. There’s a group on Twitter going crazy in the RTs. We’re all waiting for them to drop out of the fandom.”
