Tom Holland gushes about crush on Emma Watson amid Zendaya romance

Tom Holland was smitten with Emma Watson long before he found love in Zendaya.

In an interview with W Magazine in 2021, the Spiderman: Homecoming star revealed his first celebrity crush was Watson after watching her in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in 2005.

“She wears this pink dress. That was mind-blowing for me,” he gushed, referencing to the scene of Watson’s character Hermione donning a pink gown at the Yule Ball.

Holland’s momentary crush was overshadowed by his love for Zendaya after meeting her on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2016.

Recalling his meeting with the Euphoria star at the time, the actor explained, “My first meeting with Zendaya was very embarrassing actually, for me. It was just one of those moments where it just wasn’t my smoothest moment.”

Despite rumors of romance building up for years since their meeting, the pair didn’t confirm it until after they were spotted packing on a PDA in a car in Los Angeles in 2021.

Since then, the couple hasn’t been shy about their admiration for each other, and frequently write each other notes of appreciation on social media.

More recently, Zendaya opened up about navigating her personal life, including her relationship with The Crowded Room star, in the public eye.

“Parts of my life, I accept, are going to be public,” she shared. “I can’t not be a person and live my life and love the person I love."

The actress continued: "But also, I do have control over what I choose to share. It’s about protecting the peace and letting things be your own but also not being afraid to exist. You can’t hide. That’s not fun, either. I am navigating it more than ever now.”
