Former backup dancers have sued Lizzo for alleged sexual, racial, and religious harassment as well as unfavourable working circumstances. The case is still pending.

The 35-year-old musician from the band About Damn Time, however, debunked the charges in a long formal statement, calling them "sensationalised stories" and "disappointing."

The musician is now responding to the accusations legally and intends to countersue the plaintiffs for their claimed hypocritical attitude.

Photos of the plaintiffs, Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez, from the Crazy Horse's topless cabaret performance on March 5, 2023, in Paris, which had been the subject of one of the allegations, were supplied by Lizzo's attorney Marty Singer.

The pictures were shared with People Magazine alongside a statement from the singer.

"These images showing the three plaintiffs gleefully revelling backstage after the topless show were taken after their February 2023 visit to Bananenbar in Amsterdam that they complain about in their lawsuit," Singer wrote about the club, which the suers alleged Lizzo pressured to attend and touch the nude performers.

Singer added that Davis allegedly sent an audition tape to Lizzo's TV programme Watch Out for the Big Grrrls after the event, in which she stated she wanted to "follow in her footsteps."

The attorney continued by calling attention to the "glaring contradictions" and characterising the lawsuit's assertions as "bogus."

Neama Rahmani, the attorney representing Davis, Williams, and Rodriguez, says in a statement to People Magazine that her clients "stand by every claim in the lawsuit and look forward to trial" despite the images.
