Joe Manganiello's first public appearance after confirming divorce with Sofía Vergara

Joe Manganiello was spotted out and about for the first time since announcing his divorce from Sofia Vergara.

On Saturday, the Magic Mike actor, 46, was spotted in Los Angeles running errands after a workout while carrying the former couple's dog Bubbles. Following the divorce, he no longer wore a wedding ring.

Manganiello's public appearance comes less than a month after sources told People magazine on July 18 that Vergara, 51, and Manganiello are separating after seven years of marriage. The couple addressed the news the day before, on July 17, in a statement released on Page Six, stating that it was a "difficult decision."

"We have made the difficult decision to divorce," the former couple said in their statement. "As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect for our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives."

Manganiello filed for divorce two days after the news emerged, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the cause for the divorce, according to divorce paperwork obtained by the outlet. He listed July 2 as the date of separation.

In records acquired by the outlet earlier this month, Vergara answered to Manganiello's divorce filing on July 26 by citing "irreconcilable differences."

Before Manganiello filed for divorce, the couple had a marriage contract in place. Their joint assets and debts will be distributed according to "the terms of the parties' Prenuptial Agreement," and spousal support will be determined under their prenup. The True Blood alum has distinct ownership that includes "miscellaneous jewellery and other personal effects," as well as profits from before, during, and after the marriage, according to his application.

According to Page Six, Vergara agreed to let Manganiello keep their 10-year-old Chihuahua-Pomeranian.

Before their divorce, a source told the outlet that Vergara and Manganiello "differ immensely in style and what they like to do, although during the marriage, each tried to put the other's interests ahead of their own to make it work." According to another source, the former couple had "ups and downs for a long time," but they "always put on a good front publicly."
