Frozen star Samantha Barks expecting first child with husband Alex Stoll

Samantha Barks is ready to embrace motherhood.

The Frozen actress announced she is expecting her first child with her husband Alex Stoll via an Instagram post on Monday.

"We are so excited to meet you little one," she wrote in the caption alongside a white basket consisting of a frame and a tiny sheep stuff toy.

The customized frame revealed the child is due in October this year. "We have been keeping a tiny little secret," it read.

"Baby Barks Stoll" was written in a cursive font on the frame.

Barks also shared an adorable video, which featured an ultrasound image of their unborn child. In the clip, the actress and her husband removed their hands one by one from the paws of their West Highland Terrier, Ivy, to reveal the photo.

"@missivybarks is being promoted," the BBC actress wrote, punctuating it with a heart emoji.

The posts were flooded with comments, with fans and fellow celebrities extending their best wishes to the couple.

Shazam! Fury of Gods star Rachel Zegler wrote, "CONGRATS!" a sentiment echoed by the EastEnders actress Jacqueline Jossa.

Irish actress Stephanie McKeon couldn’t hold back her excitement at the prospect, writing, "Woooo!! Ivy is giving big sister extraordinaire! So happy for you guys!!"

Samantha Barks exchanged wedding vows with Stoll in a beautiful ceremony in Italy last June, after meeting him in the Broadway musical version of Pretty Woman back in 2018.

"JUST MARRIED Thank you all for your lovely messages on our wedding day! Currently enjoying a mini-moon in beautiful Italy! Thank you! #justmarried #minihoneymoon," she wrote on Instagram alongside a photo album from the ceremony.
