Matt Rife's secret romantic pursuits unearthed: Jessica Lord, Lucy Hale

Matt Rife has stepped foot first on some pretty solid hopes with the latest update on his love life.

According to Page Six, the overnight sensation comic is currently dating actress Jessica Lord, all while he prepares for his upcoming world tour.

Rife has mostly remained private about his personal life, with his last public relationship being with Kate Beckinsale back in 2017.

The outlet also revealed that he was romantically linked to The Hating Game actress Lucy Hale for some time before his current rendezvous.

Discussing his short-term romance with Beckinsale, then-43, the comic, then-21, told TMZ that it was "complicated," and they had a "lot of ups and downs."

Rife has never shied away from expressing his aversion to dating in his stand-ups as well as interviews, which stems from his busy work life, owing to his stand-up career is still at the beginning stage despite being so successful.

Speaking to GQ in April, the 25-year-old artist shared, "I kind of hate dating. I know I am just in my mid-to-late 20s, but still, I do want a wife and a family and a prominent home life that makes me feel comfortable, safe, and is my peace. But when I’m touring six days a week, 52 weeks out of the year, it’s incredibly hard to maintain a relationship."

He continued: "I do meet women who are fantastic human beings that I’m like, ‘Wow, you’re such a lovely person. You’re beautiful. You’re sweet, you’re kind, you’d be an excellent mother and excellent wife, excellent girlfriend, you check all these boxes, but I might not be in a position right now to fulfill your needs as a responsible boyfriend.’"

He said it makes him wonder "if I am missing out on wonderful people."
