Emma Watson opened up about unsettling details from her childhood.
During an interview with the Financial Times’ How To Spend It, the 33-year-old actress revealed that she began consuming alcohol at a very young age after her father introduced her to it.
“I was quite surprised when other kids got really excited about the idea of getting their hands on alcohol,” the Harry Potter star told the magazine.
“My dad would give me wine and water for lunch since I was a kid. So I was pretty confused as a teenager and everyone thought alcohol was a forbidden fruit,” she added.
The confession comes in the wake of her new career move, as she gears up to launch a premium gin brand, Renais, with her brother Alex, 30.
Emma announced her new venture for the first time on her Instagram post on her 33rd birthday.
“This is 33. Holy moly. Before 29 I hadn’t even heard of a Saturn Return as a concept. Let’s just say that now I am well acquainted,” she wrote alongside a carousel of black and white pictures of her from her last birthday.
“I stepped away from my life - I learned to surf (badly), I rode some horses (that went better), I did a lot of therapy (YESS therapy!). My brother and I joined forces @renaisspirits,” she shared.
