Keanu Reeves, others pen tributes to John Wick star Lance Reddick

John Wick actor Keanu Reeves paid tribute to his late co-star Lance Reddick after the tragic news of his death broke.

A  day after he passed away on March, 17, Reeves and John Wick director Chad Stahelski released a joint statement addressing the loss. 

Their statement read, "We are deeply saddened and heartbroken at the loss of our beloved friend and colleague Lance Reddick."

"He was the consummate professional and a joy to work with. Our love and prayers are with his wife Stephanie, his children, family and friends. We dedicate the film to his loving memory. We will miss him dearly."

Other celebrities that worked with the actor also poured in kind words. 

Wendell Pierce, who he shared the screen with on The Wire penned on twitter, "A man of great strength and grace. As talented a musician as he was an actor. The epitome of class."

He continued, "A sudden unexpected sharp painful grief for our artistic family. An unimaginable suffering for his personal family and loved ones. Godspeed my friend. You made your mark here. RIP."

The actor's death was confirmed by his publicist Mia Hansen. 

John Wick star Reddick is survived by his wife Stephanie Reddick and children Yvonne Nicole Reddick and Christopher Reddick.

Reddick was  60 when he died  however reasons for his death were not disclosed.
