Brittany Mahomes posts throwback picture of her soccer days

With a throwback, Brittany Mahomes is honouring National Girls and Women in Sports Day.

The 27-year-old wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes shared a sweet snapshot of herself when she was younger playing soccer on her Instagram on Wednesday in honour of the holiday.

"If I could give you one piece of advice when I was a young girl in sports... it would be: 'Be proud of who you are and where you came from. Always be yourself and don't let anyone tell you that you can't!'" Brittany captioned her post. She formed a hashtag for National Girls And Women in Sports Day as well.

In the second image, Brittany is seen sipping a bottle of the sports drink Bio Steel while seated on a bench press. Additionally, she added #TeamBioSteel to her caption.

Chris Cabott, an NFL agent and lawyer, responded to Brittany's post. Chris Cabott negotiated her husband's contract to play for the Chiefs, which Forbes claims was the biggest deal in football history.

"All time leading goals scorer in college. Played professional soccer. Multi-sport athlete growing up. Part-owner of an NWSL team. Keep setting the pace, Britt," Cabott wrote.
