Adele wishes Megan Thee Stallion a Merry Christmas and happy holidays.
Following a nine-day trial, rapper Tory Lanez was found guilty on Friday of killing Megan Thee Stallion in July 2020. The Easy on Me singer wished Lanez a "very, very very, merry Christmas" at her Weekends with Adele residency event in Las Vegas later that evening.
Speaking to the audience during the performance, Adele first brought up a viral clip of the rapper, 27, dancing to Water Under the Bridge from the British Grammy winner's 2015 album 25, even though the video was really of her doing choreography to her 2020 smash song, Body.
"Someone said, 'Why doesn't Adele have backup dancers?' and then someone made a video of 'Water Under the Bridge' with Meg Thee Stallion doing the dance to it," Adele, 34, said onstage, as per a video shared on Twitter. "Remember that?"
She then appeared to reference Lanez's remorseful judgment while voicing support for the Traumazine rapper.
"Well today, tonight, I would like to wish Meg Thee Stallion a very, very, merry, merry Christmas," continued Adele. "Girl, get the peace. Do whatever you want now, baby. I love you."
