Emma Watson is not retiring from acting, manager rebuffs rumours

On Thursday morning, the media outlet Daily Mail reported that prominent Hollywood actress Emma Watson would be retiring from her acting career to put her focus on settling down with her partner, Leo Robinton.

The report said that “Emma Watson has gone 'dormant’ according to her agent. That appears to be movie-speak for she's given up acting.'”

The news sparked a wave of questions and rumors on the internet as the fans of Harry Potter star were devastated with the news of her bidding farewell to her career.

However, later the day, Watson’s manager Jason Weinberg has clearly denied the rumors. He called the report is simply false. “Emma’s social media accounts are dormant but her career isn’t,” he told Entertainment Weekly in a statement.

Emma, 30, was last seen on screen in Greta Gerwig’s Little Women as Meg March. Her Instagram account bio currently reads, "Emma's official Instagram page is currently dormant and is not being updated," while her profile picture is a simple black icon.
