Bradley Cooper’s dramedy ‘Is This Thing On?’ drops official trailer
Searchlight Pictures has unveiled the latest trailer for Is This Thing On?, the upcoming dramedy directed by Hollywood multi-hyphenate Bradley Cooper.
The film follows Alex, played by Will Arnett, as he stumbles through middle age while facing a crumbling marriage and an impending divorce.
As he seeks purpose in New York’s comedy circuit, Tess, portrayed by Laura Dern, confronts the personal sacrifices she made for their family.
The official logline teases a heartfelt exploration of co-parenting, shifting identities, and whether love can evolve when life takes unexpected turns.
Set to release on 19 December, the movie will first bow at the New York Film Festival, serving as its closing-night feature on 10 October at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall.
Cooper shared that the creative team feels “honored and humbled” to premiere the project in New York, calling the city’s energy “irreplicable” in the filmmaking process.
The star-studded cast also features Cooper, Andra Day, Amy Sedaris, Sean Hayes, Christine Ebersole, Ciarán Hinds, and Scott Icenogle.
The film is produced by Weston Middleton, Kris Thykier, Cooper, and Arnett, with the latter two also co-writing the screenplay inspired by British comedian John Bishop, who serves as executive producer.
