Katy Perry is reflecting on one of the most challenging phases of her life, while opening up about how a new relationship helped her find stability again.
During a recent appearance on The Zane Lowe Show on Apple Music, the singer looked back on what she described as the “worst year” of her life following her split from longtime partner Orlando Bloom.
She shared, "Last year was so hard. It was the worst year and the best year. Because there's two sides to every coin, and I decided to look at it as the best."
She added, "And like I went to space. I created space for my own life. And then all of a sudden this huge blessing in my life showed up."
Perry, who has since moved on with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, described him as a “blessing from God,” saying the relationship has helped her feel more grounded.
In a separate interview with People, she told, “I feel like a more grounded person in so many aspects of my life. I am very in love,” calling him the “love of my life” and saying he helps anchor her.
The pair recently made their red carpet debut at the Tribeca Film Festival.
