Kim Kardashian has returned to the legal spotlight after convicted murderer Richard Glossip was released on bond following nearly 30 years behind bars.
After a $500,000 bond set by an Oklahoma court, the 63-year-old exited custody in the 1997 Barry Van Treese motel murder case and now faces retrial instead of being cleared of charges.
Meanwhile, the film producer and justice advocate Scott Budnick said on Instagram that the SKIMS founder “GRACIOUSLY paid for” the bond, as she continues to support efforts calling for Glossip’s release.
However, Glossip, reunited with his wife, Lea Glossip, shortly after walking free.
As per US Weekly report, he stated, “I’m just thankful for my wife and my attorneys. Just thankful, It’s overwhelming, but it’s amazing at the same time.”
Despite his release, prosecutors still plan to retry Richard Glossip for first degree murder, without seeking the death penalty.
Previously, Glossip was sentenced for allegedly planning the killing, while Justin Sneed confessed to the crime and testified against him. But the Supreme Court later overturned the conviction.
Kardashian has previously supported his case, writing on X that Glossip “deserves a full pardon.”
Notably, he remains under strict conditions, including electronic monitoring and travel restrictions, as legal proceedings continue.
