James Marsden hints Huge Jackman’s involvement in the highly anticipated Avengers: Doomsday.
The Marvel film will reunite Marsden with his X-Men co-stars, including Patrick Stewart (Charles Xavier / Professor X), Ian McKellen (Magneto), Alan Cumming (Nightcrawler), and Rebecca Romijn (Mystique).
However, one notable name missing from the cast reveal was Hugh Jackman‘s, and fans have been wondering if he will be part of the team-up.
While promoting his new film Mike & Nick & Nick & Alice, Marsden addressed Jackman’s potential return to the MCU.
Speaking to the ComicBook, he said, "I love Hugh Jackman, and I love the dynamic between Wolverine and Cyclops."
"It was always a brotherly, healthy competition between the two of them, where they were annoyed with each other," he added. "It did feel like a brotherly relationship."
He further said that stepping into the role with Jackman didn’t feel the same, admitting that his presence was "missed" while also hinting that he couldn’t reveal much.
Jackman has not been officially confirmed for Avengers: Doomsday, however, fans suspecting that he is part of the project after he reprised his superhero role for 2024’s Deadpool & Wolverine.
Avengers: Doomsday ensemble cast draws from across the Marvel universe, like Avengers X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Thunderbolts.
The film will be released on December 18.
