The Peaky Blinders’ star, Barry Keoghan, recently revealed how the online hate has impacted his day-to-day life.
While speaking with the host on SiriusXM's The Morning Mash Up, Jacob Elordi’s co-star opened up about how sometimes he does not even want to leave his house because of the haters.
He revealed, “There's a lot of hate online. There's a lot of abuse of how I look, and it's kind of past the point of — you know, everyone goes through that… but it's made me shy away.”
The 33-year-old also added, “It's made me really go inside myself, not want to attend places, not want to go outside.”
The Irish actor then stressed the topic and added that he is being very honest that the online criticism about his appearance is becoming a problem.
The Saltburn hero stated, “I don't have to hide away 'cause I am hiding away… I actually don't go to places because of these things. When that starts leaking into your art, it becomes a problem, because then you don't want to even be on screen anymore.”
Blaming his curious nature, Barry added that despite him removing his social media, he has a habit of going to the internet after major events and seeing what people are saying about him.
It is to be noted that although the haters have been constantly poking him, he gets encouraged because of his dear fans.
