Carrie Anne Fleming has sadly died at the age of 51 after a battle with breast cancer, leaving fans and co-stars heartbroken.
The beloved star, best known for her roles in hit TV series iZombie and Supernatural passed away peacefully in Canada on February 26, surrounded by her loved ones.
Her representative described her as a “beautiful soul” who was “inspiring, kind, and deeply loved”.
Tributes have poured in, including an emotional message from her Supernatural co-star Jim Beaver, who played her on-screen husband.
He fondly recalled how they first met on set and quickly bonded, even discovering they had daughters with the same name.
Calling her a “powerhouse of vitality”, he praised her infectious laughter and warm personality, saying she had a spirit that could light up any room.
Fleming was born in Digby, Nova Scotia and was trained in drama in British Columbia before carving out a successful career across television, film and stage.
She appeared in a wide range of shows, from Smallville to Stargate SG-1, but found a special place in fans’ hearts through her work in the horror genre.
On Supernatural, she played Karen Singer, while in iZombie she appeared as Candy Baker, roles that cemented her cult following.
Away from the screen, Fleming also shone on stage in productions including Romeo and Juliet and Steel Magnolias, proving her versatility as a performer.
She is survived by her daughter, Madalyn Rose and a legacy of unforgettable performances that will live on.
