Tim McGraw is now official one of the icons in the Country Music Hall of Fame and the singer is dishing his feelings about the inclusion.
The Just to See You Smile singer has been inducted with Paul Overstreet and the Stanley Brothers, joining with the Modern Era Artist category.
At the media event announcing the artists on Friday, the 58-year-old was tearful and took to the podium to begin by saying, “Anybody that knows me knows I’m a crier. I mean, I cry at bad commercials.”
During his journey, Tim stated that early on in his career the singer took his guitar to a Hall of Fame Lounge and the fact that his loves for country music lead him to his home, his wife, family, band and team.
“So to go from a bar called the Hall of Fame to be here in the actual Country Music Hall of Fame, surrounded by all of these legends and a lot of my friends, it’s just almost impossible for me — it is impossible for me, not almost — to believe,” he added.
The Country Strong actor also talked about National Women’s History Week and how he wouldn’t be where he is without great women in his life.
