Niall Horan, who is a former member of One Direction, recently looked back on the tragic memory of his bandmate, Liam Payne passing away.

The English four-member band was first made in 2010 and went on hiatus in 2016, which is now also called indefinite hiatus.

During this time, the team members, Niall, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and the late singer, embarked on their own journeys, but the passing of the vocalist in 2024 left everyone grieving.

Recalling the tragic incident, the 32-year-old told GQ magazine: “I just remember getting a message, and I was just like, what? I just didn’t think it was real.”

He continued, “Someone so young, you’re not expecting to hear that they’ve passed, especially someone that you’ve just seen. I just went back from shock to sadness to anger.”

For the unfamiliar, the 31-year-old died after he fell off a hotel balcony in Argentina.

It is to be noted that Niall has also included a song called End Of An Era, on his fourth studio album, Dinner Party, which is reportedly for his dear friend, who tragically left the world on October 16, 2024.
