KPop Demon Hunters is set to leap off the screen and onto the stage, with a jaw-dropping live tour now in the works.

Streaming powerhouse Netflix is reportedly planning a huge arena spectacle inspired by the smash-hit animated film, as it looks to turn its chart-topping soundtrack into a real-world concert experience.

According to Bloomberg, talks are already underway with major promoters, though no deal has been locked in just yet.

The ambitious tour is said to feature real-life K-pop stars EJAE, Rei Ami and Audrey Nuna,  all of whom appear on the film’s soundtrack, bringing fan-favourite tracks to life on stage.

Insiders claim the shows could roll out across dozens of global cities, filling arenas with capacities of up to 20,000 fans.

And it won’t come cheap as Netflix is reportedly prepared to put down “tens of millions of dollars” in upfront guarantees to secure the project, signalling just how big the streamer believes this could be.

The live tour plans arrive as excitement builds around the sequel to KPop Demon Hunters, with directors Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans returning under a new multi-year deal.

The original film became a record-breaker upon release, earning the title of Netflix’s most-watched movie and spawning the global hit Golden, which scooped both Grammy and Oscar wins.

Production giant Sony Pictures Animation is also back on board, although a release date for the sequel remains a mystery.
