Kurt Russell has opened up about how his latest role is hitting very close to home.

The 75-year-old star said that it’s all thanks to his decades-long love story with Goldie Hawn.

The legendary actor revealed that his character in The Madison mirrors parts of his real-life romance, giving fans a rare glimpse into the deeply personal side of their relationship.

Kurt plays Preston, the late husband of Stacy, portrayed by Michelle Pfeiffer, in the emotional series.

And while the storyline follows grief and regret after Preston’s death, it’s the love story at its heart that struck a chord.

Speaking candidly, he admitted the on-screen conversations felt incredibly familiar.

The Thing actor shared that he and Goldie have had “very similar conversations” over the years, describing their bond as the kind of enduring, drama-free love that’s rarely seen nowadays.

In true tabloid-worthy fashion, he hinted at a deeper truth, that the show captures a bittersweet reality many couples face, wondering what more could have been.

The Christmas Chronicles star reflected on how ageing brings a sharper focus on life choices, regrets, and making the most of the time left.

But it’s not just romance, it’s lifestyle too.

Kurt drew parallels between Preston’s connection to Montana and his own bold decision to move to Colorado at 26, choosing to live life on his own terms while juggling a Hollywood career.

Meanwhile, Goldie has previously gushed about his role as a devoted father figure to her children, including Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson, calling him “a natural” with family.
