Kurt Russell is opening up about his experiences in life, both as a professional actor in Hollywood and as a father.

The Madison actor reflected on what he has learnt over the years, just days before his 75th birthday on March 17.

In an interview with AARP’s Movies for Grownups the Tombstone actor stated, “...Whatever I impart, I don’t know if it’s wisdom-oriented, I do know that after having done this for so long, you keep your mouth shut and your ears open, and you’re going to have learned some things.”

Kurt, who is a father to two children, went on to discuss parenting and revealed that he tries to avoid lecturing his children and letting experience teach them important lessons, emphasising the role age plays in it.

“I think that as you get older as a male, for men, it’s wisdom. As they get older, hopefully they gain wisdom and wisdom becomes more their power,” he said.

The former child actor also dished his views on aging, noting that he disagrees with the phrase ‘age is just a number’ adding that it is a reality that he hasn’t allowed to rule his life.
