Lisa Kudrow opened up on Botox setbacks and her approach to aging, ahead of reprising her role on HBO.
During her latest candid chat, the 62-year-old actress recently told that she experienced an uncomfortable side effect from the popular anti-wrinkle injections.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the Friends star stated, “I think it contributed to my eye irritation and this weird pattern on my forehead, so I’m probably done with it now anyway.”
The writer, who didn’t try Botox until turning 60, revealed to the host that she’s “scared” of aging but is excited to take on older roles, saying, “I am scared of having to see myself looking like my grandmother one day, but I’m excited to play older roles.”
Meanwhile, the actor has often been praised for embracing natural aging, she revealed she underwent a “life altering” nose job at 16.
“I went from, in my mind, hideous to not hideous,” she told The Saturday Evening Post.
She reflected on her decision to avoid further cosmetic procedures. “I don’t judge anyone for doing it. A lot of people look fantastic, but I also am afraid that if it doesn’t heal right [I will] look older and altered,” she said on the Armchair Expert podcast.
On the workfront, she is currently promoting the third season of her HBO series The Comeback, returning March 22.
