Lisa Kudrow has recently opened up about playing one character more than her famous Phoebe role in hit sitcom, Friends.

The American actress shared she played the role of Valerie Cherish on her HBO show’s two-decade journey to Season 3, The Comeback.

Lisa confessed that she played the mockumentary reality show’s fictional TV icon for a longer span of time than she played Phoebe Buffay on Friends.

“I have played Valerie longer than I’ve played Phoebe,” said the 62-year-old while stopping by the Deadline Studio at SXSW.

However, the Mad About You actress added, “Valerie’s always there, she’s very right there, close by. She’s the one doing commentary throughout my life.”

Lisa, who co-created The Comeback with Michael Patrick King in 2005, came up with season three which premiered last Sunday on HBO.

Meanwhile, Valerie accepts the lead role on a new sitcom, How’s That?, which is written by an AI program in the third season.
