Mel C finally commented on the swirling chatter about a Spice Girls reunion ahead of a significant milestone.
As the buzz grows around a possible comeback tied to the 30th anniversary of Wannabe and Spice, the 52-year-old addressed during latest media interaction.
Speaking on The Smallzy Show, she stated, “So, July will be the 30th anniversary of ‘Wannabe’ being released, and then later in the year, Spice, the first album. So yeah, it’s a big one. And no, there is no reunion.”
While confirming there are no plans for now, the singer noted that conversations are still underway, she said she wants to share more but added they stay connected and hope to reunite at some point.
She continued, “Who knows when? But I still feel very optimistic and I keep my fingers crossed that you will see the Spice Girls together at some point in the future.”
The update comes after earlier talks of potential concerts and even a reported Netflix project, which ultimately failed to materialize due to scheduling and agreement hurdles.
Reflecting on their continued success, Mel C mentioned the group’s strong fanbase over the years.
She pointed out that it’s amazing people still care and explained they hope to reunite on stage to share that joy again.
