Shakira has her eyes set on becoming a member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this year.

The Whenever, Wherever singer earned a Rock & Roll nomination for the first time.

In conversation with the Associated Press, she reflected on her big achievement.

She said, "I feel really humbled and excited at the same time. t’s incredible to be nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and a little bit surreal as well."

The Waka Waka hitmaker said that she can’t quite believe it and this year has felt like a dream come true.

She added, "I think this nomination is one of those things that you probably fantasize about sometime in your career but try not to get too fixated on it."

Shakira continued, "Being nominated is a huge deal for me and my fans who followed my rock career."

The Latina singer is among the first-time nominees, which also includes Buckley, Collins, Etheridge, Hill, INXS, New Edition, Pink, Vandross and Wu-Tang Clan.

The inductees will be revealed in April, along with recipients of the Musical Influence Award, Musical Excellence Award and the Ahmet Ertegun Non Performer Award.
