Kelly Clarkson is opening up about her experience with American Idol to Daniel Radcliffe and Rob Rausch as they bond over major snubs.
The Since U Been Gone singer had won the inaugural season of the singing competition show in 2002, and dished about her prize to the guests and the audience.
During the Tuesday episode of The Kelly Clarkson show, the snake wrangler dished that he had not gotten his $220,800 winnings from Season 4 of The Traitors.
Kelly added on to this, saying “You know what, I relate to this! I relate to this so hardcore. You probably weren’t alive when I was on ‘American Idol,’ but I was literally on the show. They were like, ‘Oh, you win a million dollars,’ or whatever.”
“No, you didn’t. They lied. It was like a million dollars’ worth of investment in you,” she added, stating, “they said you get a car, and I needed it because my car was bashed in, and I couldn’t afford the deductible. And then — no! I did not get a car.”
The 45-year-old’s confession had stunned the Harry Potter alum midway, after she mentioned that she did not receive the cash prize.
Kelly also went on to reveal that the Clay Aiken, who came second during the second season of the show, ended up winning the car.
