Christina Applegate recalls being secretly in love with Johnny Depp

Christina Applegate opened up about having a major crush on Johnny Depp during her teen years.

The Married… with Children star met the Pirates of Caribbean alum while guest starring in his 21 Jump Street series.

In her new memoir, You With the Sad Eyes, she while sharing details of her teen years journaling revealed that she was quite fond of Depp.

She wrote in her book, "One thing is very clear from the journals: I was in love with Johnny Depp for years."

She added that the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory star was eight years older than her and was always "behaved impeccably" towards her while she was smitten by him.

However, she continued, "It seems that back then I was just one of the guys to him, yet my journals are filled with complicated and ever-changing feelings."

Eventually, due to Depp’s behaviour, Applegate’s feelings changed within less than two months. Her emotion went from being completely smitten to suddenly getting disappointed reality check.

According to the Entertainment Tonight, Depp was seemingly in relationship with Winona Ryder during Applegate’s infatuation period.

Applegate then eventually married actor Johnathon Schaech, but got divorced in 2007. She then married to musician Martyn LeNoble, with whom she shares a daughter.

Meanwhile, Depp was married to makeup artist, Lori Anne Allison from 1983 – 1886. Despite their divorce they maintained a friendly relationship. He then married Amber Heard in 2015. Heard then filed for divorce in 2016 after about 15 months of marriage.
