Christina Applegate confesses: 'I dumped Brad Pitt for a rock star!'

Christina Applegate has revealed a youthful romance twist that sounds like pure movie drama. 

The 54-year-old actress confessed in her new memoir You With Sad Eyes that she once ditched a young Brad Pitt for none other than long-haired Skid Row rocker Sebastian Bach.

Christina, just 17 at the time, recalled inviting Brad, then a 26-year-old actor yet to become “the man of so many people’s dreams”, to the 1989 MTV Video Music Awards. 

But while the 62-year-old actor endured the role of chauffeur for Christina’s mother, her eyes were firmly fixed on Bach, frontman of the legendary rock band.

“I had spent all night staring at Bach,” Christina writes, adding that the 57-year-old singer “sullenly” drove her mum home and nearly got into a fight with some gang members on the way. 

Unsurprisingly, he was reportedly furious with her.

The Dead to Me actress later discovered Bach already had a long-term partner and baby, while Brad “didn’t talk” to her for years, and even allegedly shared the story with future girlfriends, keeping the MTV snub alive. 

Christina wryly reflects: “Brad deserved much better… and Sebastian Bach… well, he still has long hair, I guess.”

The memoir also dives into her later love life, including her marriage to actor Johnathon Schaech in 2001. 

Christina admits she had doubts walking down the aisle, calling the ceremony “a master class in anal perfectionism,” yet knew “this was not the man for me.”
