Christian Bale has opened up about the upcoming adaptation of one of the most impactful films, American Psycho.
The actor, who played Patrick Bateman in the 2000 cult classic, has given his opinion on Luca Guadagnino’s teasing of the new adaptation of Bret Easton Ellis’ book last year at CinemaCon.
Reflecting on which actor he had on his mind for the role, The Prestige star told The Hollywood Reporter, “Whoever wants to give it a shot, give it a pop.I loved making it with [director] Mary Harron so many years back, fantastic memories of it all.”
“Bold choice of anyone to try to do a — I don’t know if they’re doing a remake or what, I don’t know anything else about it. But all the best to ’em, I like brave people,” Christian added.
The Academy Award winning actor answered the question at the premiere of The Bride! which is an American Gothic romance film written and directed by Maggie Gyllenhaal.
Notably, Luca has not confirmed who will take on the role of the sinister investment banker as of yet, but it is known that Scott Z. Burns is writing the script.
