Harry Styles is the latest superstar to gush over Rosalía’s genre-defying new album, LUX.
The 32-year-old singer praised the multi-lingual collection for its authenticity.
He told the Royal Court podcast “I think it’s great. So brilliant. What is really inspiring to see… it’s so obviously for her. It’s so obviously to fulfill something that we get to watch.”
It's worth noting that the Spanish sensation isn’t just impressing the former One Direction star.
Pop icon Madonna has also declared herself a devoted fan.
Sharing her excitement on Instagram, the 67-year-old Queen of Pop wrote, “Thank you @Rosalia. I can’t stop listening! You are a true visionary!!!”
Released in November, LUX showcases Rosalía singing in 13 languages, with lead single Berghain, a collaboration with Björk and Yves Tumor, mixing English, German, and Spanish.
The 33-year-old singer revealed to The New York Times that she relied on Google Translate, real-life translators, and teachers to ensure her multi-lingual lyrics made sense.
She described the process as “a lot of intuition and trying to be like, ‘I’m going to just write and let’s see how these will sound in another language.’”
The Con Altura star also gushed about meeting Icelandic legend Björk, calling it “an instant crush of admiration” and describing the encounter over tapas in Barcelona as unforgettable.
