House of the Dragon season 3 is set to air soon.
The hit series set about 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones and follows the rise and fall of a powerful family known and feared for their dragons and tendency towards madness.
The show was renewed for 3rd instalment just days before the premiere of its second season in June 2024.
While season one introduced viewers to Targaryen family and season 2 saw a few dragon battles, the shows co-creator Ryan Condal admitted during an "Inside the Episode" special that season 3 will focus on "total war."
"While this season was very much about the fits and starts of an early medieval war, season 3 is clearly going to be about total war," he revealed.
Here's everything we know about House of the Dragon season 3 so far.
What season 3 will be about
The upcoming part is expected to dive headfirst into full-scale Targaryen civil war known as the Dance of the Dragons. After two seasons simmering tension and political manoeuvring, the conflict between Rhaenyra and Aegon will escalate into open, devastating warfare.
