Jennifer Garner has made a heartfelt confession about her decades-long friendship with Judy Greer, and it’s enough to melt even the coldest Hollywood heart.
The pair first struck up their bond while playing on-screen frenemies in 13 Going on 30, and their connection has only deepened since.
Now, more than 20 years on, Jennifer says she simply couldn’t have navigated life without Judy by her side.
“There’s such a lovely shorthand,” the 53-year-old actress, revealed after the duo reunited for The Last Thing He Told Me.
“You don’t erase the history you have with someone. She’s carried me through the last 20 years – and I’ve a little bit carried her.”
The Elektra star gushed about watching the 50-year-old actress grow into what she called a “stronger, deadlier” performer, admitting that facing her in intense scenes pushed her to raise her own game.
“With another woman, it’s really special,” she added.
The gripping Apple TV+ thriller is based on the novel by Laura Dave that sees Jennifer’s character Hannah thrown into chaos when her husband Owen, played by Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, mysteriously vanishes.
Dark secrets unravel, including links to a dangerous crime family led by characters portrayed by David Morse, Luke Kirby and John Noble.
“It’s deeper, better,” she teased of the new season.
“Laura wrote a fantastic story.”
